About the CD

THE DIDLEY OWDLE DOWDLE CHORUS
Some of the Notre Dame crew who sang along with Cotter and me are: Bear, Bri, Tommy, Barn, Riles, Dave, Mark, Betty, Flippo, Gaffer, TJ, Larry, Carolyn, Betsy, Jeff, Rayne, Bill, Susie, Kitty, and Colleen. I have no doubt missed more than a few and hope they will forgive me. Cotter and I were always inspired by their enthusiasm.

PAT DONOHUE
I want to thank Pat for the priceless gift of his friendship over the past 40 years. He is a brilliant guitarist, singer and songwriter. His many recorded CDs are available at www.patdonohue.com. Go there and buy them all. You will not be disappointed.

The Guitars
Pat plays a 2008 Pat Donohue Custom Martin Guitar (#1) on cuts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 15, and 16. Pat plays a 1997 JF-55 Guild 12-string guitar on cut 5.

I play a 2008 Pat Donohue Custom Martin Guitar (#25) on cuts 4, 5, 11, and 15. I play a 1973 Martin D-35 on cuts 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16.

Special thanks to Kevin Schwab of Hoffman Guitars in Minneapolis for the great job he did with major repairs to my D-35 in 2008. As you listen my guitar is in the right channel and Pat’s is in the left. If you are a guitar player, you will not need to ask. As one of my nephews told me, Pat shreds.

Original Art Work
The original art work on the front and back of this CD was created by Tom Quinn, Notre Dame Law School class of 1978, charter member of the Diddley Owdle Dowdle Chorus, and the first person I ever heard sing Johnny McEldoo. Tom practices law and lives in Portland, Maine.

My Kids
I dedicate this CD to my beloved children, Meghan, Caitlin, Maura, Anna, Emily and Daniel, who have been subjected to a nonstop barrage of these songs from their eccentric old Dad since the day they were born.
